Grillin' & Chillin'

Ok it is summer time, and with the summer comes the grilling out.

I love food on the grill. I don't know why but it just tastes so much better.

So once a month at work we grill out for the boys. We usually start in April, and run thru September. Today I grilled out chicken for the boys. I marinated it in Herb & Garlic, and Lemon Pepper marinades. (Not mixed together, I gave the boys a choice.) I started the marinade on Monday and let it go till this morning. Let me tell you I am becoming quite the queen of the grill. I have perfected my talent. The chicken was so tender, you could cut it with a fork. The flavor was all the way thru the chicken. It was perfect.

About a month ago I made pork chops on the grill at home. I am not a big fan of pork chops, but these were superb. I made Toby some steaks the other night when he came over and caulked my leaky window. He said they were so good. He went to a local steakhouse that weekend, and had a steak, and he said it wasn't any near as good as the ones I had made. I am pretty proud of my grilling talent. I will have to show you all how good I am someday. But I figure if I can make 13 boys happy with my grilling/cooking, I should be pretty proud. They aren't usually that easy to please.

Crappy Weekend

The weekend started out great!! Friday and Saturday where wonderful.

Saturday night and Sunday and now today, not so great. I ended up taken the day off to try to finish up the fix on my bedroom.

I finally sat down today, after all the craziness, and this is what I got from Buddy!!Some serious snuggles and kisses!!

He is the sweetest dog. He always knows how to make me feel better!!

Weekend!!

So this weekend, has been a little crazy.

I got done with work on Friday, loaded up the dog, and headed to Carrin & Todd's. I played volleyball Friday night, and then had to wake up early Saturday to go to Megan's last volleyball game of the season.

Then we rushed back to Carrin & Todd's to get the girls ready for their dance recital. I didn't get any good pics, because you can't take pics with a flash.

Then headed home, but first stop for the Mexican food. Then picked up the dog from Carrin & Todd's loaded up the two girls, and met Toby and Kaylee at my place. The girls played outside for a little bit, and then came inside to play the Wii. I discovered there is water in bedroom. All the clothes in my dresser were SOAKED!! The floor in front of the dresser is soaked. (Still in the process of moving everything out of my room.)

Stayed up late watching a movie. Woke up! Made pancakes for the girls. Threw the girls in bathtub. And this is what happened.
Morgan was getting out the tub, and slipped and chipped her front tooth. She screamed for a good minute. (It is not really easy to dry off an 8 year old when they are screaming and crying). Once she calmed down, I gave her some ice to suck on to make it feel better. It seems to have worked. She hasn't said anything about it for a while.

If I keep this up the kids won't be able to spend time with me anymore!!
