Dear Buddy,

Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of when you came to be mine. I know in some way since the day Toby picked you up from the breeder for Kaylee, you were always mine. I remembering going over to Toby's house when he first got you and seeing how tiny you were. You could fit in my hand. Even then you were so sweet, and cuddly.

Over the last year you have made me so happy. It is so nice to come home from work every day and be greeted by you. You are just waiting to jump into my arms and give me kisses. You run around like crazy, and are so happy to see me. It still makes me laugh after a year.

I love all your crazy puppy behavior. The way you LOVE to play. The way you love snuggle. The way you give me kiss when you are really truly happy.

I know people say you are totally spoiled, but I know you and I wouldn't have it any other way. You are the light of my life, and have made me happier then I have ever been.

Thank you for coming into my life one year ago yesterday. I hope we have many more years to come.

Your Mama

My Dog

My dog is white.

My dog is named Buddy.

My dog loves attention. I mean loves attention. If you aren't talking to him, petting him or playing with him he will remind you he is there and you forgot him.

My dog sleeps under the covers with me.

My dog likes to drink beer (unless Nana Sheri & Grandpa George are around)

My dog has 3 girlfriends (Abby, Jade & Angel)

My dog is SUPER sweet.

My dog gets so excited when I come home he seriously can't control himself.

My dog loves me just the way I am no matter what I do. He accepts me as me.

My dog gives me tons & tons of kisses every day.

My dog is the cutest dog in the world.

Buddy is MAD at me!!

I came home from celebrating my 4th of July, and Buddy had fleas. But he needed a haircut and I bought a small electric trimmer thing. So I was trimming him with the guides on. You know the ones that are supposed to keep people like me from getting to close. And as I was trimming him, and doing a good job I might say, my dog must have got bit by a flea, and wiggled and I got a big gouge of hair out of him. So I had to trim him super close the rest of the way too, and now he just looks super silly. Oh yeah, and he would only let me trim his body, so his face is still long, and his legs still have his hair on it.

I will NOT post any pictures, I don't want this remembered forever. But I do feel sorry for the little guy. Thankful his hair grows pretty fast, so it won't be this way for too long.

But for now my little dog is pouting, and mad at me. He went outside, and Abby was there, and he was louder then usual. I think he was tell her what a bad mom I am!!

Naughtiest Dog Contest!!

I think I have the naughtiest dog in the world. If there is a contest I am pretty sure he would win. Well it would be kind of close with Lucy (Carrin's Dog).
Today we were having a great day. I have let him be outside a lot. He loves to just run around the back yard. He had just come back into the house. I was sitting on one of the couches. Just watching him play with one of his millions of toys. And he gets up walks toward the front door, (I am thinking he is looking for Gabe to play with) and squats and starts peeing!!!
Are you kidding me!! He has been doing so good.
See his previous owner, never trained him, so until Buddy came to live with me, he just got to pee and poo where ever he wanted (I know gross right?). It has been quite the long road to get him potty trained, and just when I think he is doing really good, NOPE!!
So I have taken all his toys away, and put them up out of his reach. And I won't be giving him anymore alcohol, until he get it under control. Am I being to hard on him?

Drinking Buddies!!

So Buddy was drinking with his CREW tonight. He loves his BOYS (as he calls them) so he thought I should introduce you all to his crew,
So here you Go!

This is Dragon.
He is the bad ass of the group. Always firing off his mouth.
He is the one that usually gets the others in trouble

This is Mr Booda,
(Barry for short)
He is the sensible one. He always try to talk the
others out of the trouble they come up with
when they are drinking.

This is Opie 2
(the orginal Opie is no more)
He is a little grabby!!
Sometimes the girls like it and
sometimes they don't. Buddy doesn't
always like that he says it cramps his style.

This is Mr. Moo
You have meet him before. He and Buddy are prison partners.
Not in a weird kind of way, but they spend their days together.
I am sure there are lots of stories, they share.

And this is Victor the Viking.
He is Buddy's Football friend.
Buddy plays with him and chews his ass when the Packer's are playing.
See we are Cheeseheads, here and proud of it and as everyone knows.
Cheeseheads, don't like Vikings. So I guess Victor isn't really his "friend"
but he does live at our house, and we do like to throw him around
and beat him up when we are watching football!

This crew is TROUBLE!!
They talk and play for hours and hours!!
They take all sorts of abuse from Buddy.
Buddy picks and choose who he plays with and when.
More often then not he is seen hanging out with Opie 2.

It gets a little expensive to buy beer for all these guys. Trust me. But Buddy insists, if he is drink so is his CREW!! And I have to admit watching Buddy with his Crew is pretty entertaining.

Jail Break!!

This is Buddy's BFF Mr Moo.
They hang out all day long. I am sure Buddy tells him all the time what a horrible pet I am for leaving him in the kennel while I go out to make the $$$ to keep him in the booze, and cigarettes. So every couple of days Buddy tires to help his BFF out. He organize a jail break.
This takes a lot of planning on Buddy's part. He wants to make sure I am not paying to close of attention, because if I notice him going in to spring his friend, he might get locked up with him. He kind of wanders over by the kennel (which is kept in our storage room, so it is not always right where he can get to it) then wanders away and back over by me, and then wanders back over to the kennel. As soon as my back is turned, and I am not paying attention, he darts in to the kennel, grabs his friend, and then darts back out before I can every catch him. Then he is so SUPER proud of helping his friend out, he runs a couple of victory laps. He Yells to his friend, "You are free, You are Free. Aren't I the bestest Buddy in the whole world."

Back on the Horse!!

So as you may have read in my last post, Buddy has not been able to drink for a couple of days. Poor guy. Yesterday before I left for work, he asked me if he was OK to drink again. I said I thought so he was off his meds, so it should be ok. He gave me his cute little smile, and asked me to pick him up a sixer on my way home since it was pay day.
So on my way home I stopped at the store, and picked up a few things. When I got home I didn't even get a "Hey Mom" All I got was a "Do you got my stuff?" Seriously. No kisses, no hugs like usual? I guess that is what happens when you take his booze away for a couple of days. Oh well. I got the sixer out and started to crack one open for him. I then started to mix me a UV Vodka and Lemonade. He stopped and asked what I was doing. So I told him, and he asked if he could have some of that stuff. I started to mix it up for him, and he said "NO just give me the bottle."
I tried to tell him you were supposed to mix it with Lemonade, but he was having none of that. So he had a few drinks, and started to get chatty. I could not get him to shut up, so I sent him outside for a little while. He went out to the fence to look for his girl Abby.
She didn't come out. He tried to call her name and she still didn't come out. He came back inside, and was a little upset. He was wondering where his girl was. I tried to explain to him that maybe she had some chores to do that she didn't have done yet, or who was still working on her homework. He wasn't buying it. So....
He asked me what else I had on hand. I told him I had a little vodka, so he asked me for a shot!! Like the champ he is he licked it up!!

We chatted a little more, and had some good conversations. Well at least he had some stuff to say... I just had to listen. He told me how excited he is to go fishing in August. He hears it is a good drinking time. He told me about how much he is looking forward to seeing Nana Sheri and Grandpa George and hope they have presents for him. I told him that wasn't very nice. You cant just see people because they buy you presents. He said he would just be happy if they had some booze on hand for him. He talked a little bit about what a rough life he has. You know how hard it is to look cute all the time. How I always expect him to be happy when I get home from work, how tough it is to be a puppilite. Just ask Paris Hilton. It is a tough life to live in the spolight all the time. I told him I didn't feel a bit sorry for him, seeing as how he couldn't do any of the chores I left for him to do every day so I had to do his chores and my own. He didn't care. So after he got that stuff off his chest he decided like all men that he wanted to try to show off for the girl again.
He ran up and down the yard. Did some jumps. Tried to do all he could to get Abby to come out and hang out, but in the end it didn't work. Poor guy. He was a pretty upset. I had to take the booze away so he didn't drink all night. He wasn't happy about this, but after a couple of minutes just passed out. He was this morning moving just as quick as ever. Seriously. No hang over? What a champ.

Buddy

So I had a message wondering why there have been no new posts about Buddy and his drinking. Did he give it up? Did he go to rehab? What happened.

Well Buddy had to give up the sauce for a little bit. He was having a little problem with his butt. Yes you heard me his butt. I took him to the vet and $135.00 I was told he has some allergies, and this affects his butt. (I know right sounds weird). But apparently this is something that happens often in dogs. Because of his butt problem, which C thought might be because of his drinking problem (you know we all have butt problems from drink at times) he had to give up his beer for a couple of days. But don't you worry he was feeling better last night and today is payday so I am sure he will be waiting at home wagging his little tail, and wondering if I brought him home his Bud!!

I'll update all of you tomorrow with what happens.

Drunk Dialing

You know you have all done it. Don't lie. We all get drunk, and pick up the phone and just start trying to call people to tell them you love them so much, or... You hate them so much, or just how drunk you are (like they didn't already know when their phone rang at 3 am and heard the music in the background.

Well it has recently been brought to my attention, that Buddy has picked up this habit. Apparently he has been drunk dialing Nana Sheri when I leave him home, and her phone being a "smart" phone has decided to block my number. I can call her and I will get her voice mail, it just doesn't actually ring. She assured me that this is not because she doesn't like me (still not sure about that one, seeing as how I am the only child who calls her but yet is the only who # is blocked). Carla, Carrin, and George can all call her cell and it rings, I tried 3 times and nothing. So her and George figured out it was Buddy's fault. After much hassling, and talking I got it out of Buddy that YES he has been drunk dialing Nana. And he has been drunking dialing Ashton Kutcher. (not sure how he got Ashton's number, Buddy must have hacked into my twitter account and gotten it that way.) But he and Ashton are besties now. Great. so the next time Ashton is town does that mean he has to stay at my house? Not really sure on that one. I guess we will see.

I guess I have to start taking my phone with me when I leave him home alone. Until then be warned, if your phone rings at 3 in the morning, and it says my number, it could be Buddy, up to his old tricks again.

Back To Work

Well I am back at work. Didn't really miss it much while I was gone.

Buddy wasn't happy about it. He didn't want to wake up this morning. Last night we were talking, and he told me he wished I didn't have to work. I told him to get off his ass and figure out a way to make us both rich so I didn't have to work anymore. He didn't like that idea to much. He can't sit still long enough to do anything. Oh well. So he whined and begged to not have to go in the kennel today, but in he went. I am sure he will be super excited when I get home today.

Nurse Buddy.

So I have been out sick for the last day and a half. Just a little bug I think, but it was not fun.

I have to say Buddy is a great nurse. That is when he isn't trying to eat my saltine crackers, or drinking my Coke, or wanting me to rub HIS belly.

When I am in the bathroom, he is right there with me. If I am pooping, he hops up on my lap, if I am puke he puts his feet on bowl, and looks down at what is coming out. When I am sleeping, he goes off and plays and comes back every once in awhile to check on me.

With his loving care I am feeling better. I know I couldn't have done it with out his care.

That damn drinking dog again.

So Saturday night I went out to dinner with Carrin, Todd, and Carrin's bloggy friend April. We went to Kobe's for dinner, and then the Horseshoe for some gaming.

Buddy wasn't happy about this, but he got over it when I told him I would leave him some money so he could walk down to Fantasy's (this is gas station people get your mind of out the gutter), so he could pick up his sixer, and a pack of reds. (He's only a 7lb dog, doesn't take too much to get him drunk).

It was a nice night. The food at Kobe's was good. This isn't my favorite place to eat, but it has been a while, so it was nice to go back. And then to the casino. I used to be a pretty luck craps player. I happen to tell Todd this at one time, so he has been trying to talk me into going to the casino with him for awhile.

I wasn't really feeling lucky Saturday night, but I went anyway. Hey I had my lucky shoes on.

I love these shoes. I thought maybe they would be luck. And alas they were not. I mean I got to play for quite awhile on my $40.00, but didn't walk out with more $$$ then I went in with like I usually can. So I left and they others stayed, and apparently they all ended up winning.

So when I got home, Buddy was a couple of sheets to the wind. I told him about the money I lost. He told me he hoped that didn't come out of his beer money. I assured him it didn't. Then he told me about how he swaggered down to Fantasy's to pick up his 6er, and pack of Reds. On his way home he stopped by Abby's to ask if she could come over. Her parents said No. He then asked Abby to come over but her parent's weren't home, and she couldn't go out unless they were. So he was left to drink by himself. So he tossed back a couple of Bud Lights, and then went outside, "To Show Those Girls What They Were Missing" I tried to tell him that he needs to understand to get the girl, you have to eventually win the parents. Especially when you play things fast and loose like Buddy likes to do. He thinks his charm is should speak for itself. I told him charm will only take you so far. He then told my he knows he has his looks to carry him the rest of the way. And walk off to go to bed. Man I am I glad I got him fixed. I am not ready to be a Grandma.

God love that Dog!!

Playing on the Computer

For all of you who want a little dog, first let me warn you that yes they are totally adorable, and wonderful in so many ways, but they are way more needy when it comes to attention, and they have their ways for making sure they get it. When I try to do things on the computer this is what I get.
And This!
These were taken with the web cam on my computer. It is so much fun having him around.

If I Go The Dog Goes Too....

When I become famous for all my dashing and wonderful talents. I am not really sure what they are, but I know I have them. They are just waiting to be discovered, this is what I will demand for my appearances.

The Dog Goes Too....
My entourage should get the same treatment as I. If you want me to show up to your party, your opening, or whatever fabulous event you are having that would be made that more fabulous by my presence, and lets face it my presence makes every event better. Then you have to take my alcoholic, chain smoking, potty mouth dog Buddy. He is my protector, and my humor relief. Every day when I come home from work. He cracks a Bud, and lights up a red, and we sit down, and chat about the shit that is going on in my life. And then he sits and cheers for me as I play Guitar Hero. He is my little groupie. And everyone needs one of those.

Make sure you have sixer and a pack of Marlboro reds for Buddy
This should be explained by the above. If you have ever meet Buddy you will know that he takes his drinking very seriously and if you don't have any Bud on hand, or try to take it away from him he can get pretty mean. Ask my sister C. She can vouch for this. She tried to take his wine away from him at Christmas and he wasn't to happy.

Be prepared to shower me with...
Compliments, and shoes, oh and handbags. Of course every girl likes to be told she is pretty, and wonderful, and witty, and of course skinny. But if you really want to make happy give me shoes, and handbags. The higher the heel the better. If I could shop for shoes, and handbags all the time with any amount of money I would be completely happy.

Buddy and I don't think any of these demands are too outrageous. And we know you will have a fabulous time hanging out with us. So please remember the diva (Buddy that is) is way harder to handle then me.

A Typical Day

Here is what a day in my life is like.

I wake up to this

"Come on Mom get up. Get up, it's time to play. Come on."

I don't mean like oh isn't he cute. I mean he is right in my face. The first thing I see every morning when I wake up is a black nose. Then as soon as he sees my eyes open starts nudging me. And the nose is always wet and cold.

Me... "Buddy it's 4:30 go back to sleep. Come on lay down here with me a little longer. "

I lift the covers and after a couple of seconds of persuasion, he will finally lay back down, until 6:00. Then we go up to go potty. And of course he is a total morning person. He wakes up just as happy and playful as can be. He goes in the backyard and wants to run and run and run. I want him to hurry up, get the job done, so I can go and lay back down until 7:30.

I finally track him down, and we go and lay back down. Or I should say, I lay back down, and he plays with any number of his toys that he has snuck into the bedroom and hidden in different places. See everytime I find a toy I throw it back into the living room, so he has taken to hiding them under the desk, and under the bed. He was digging under the bedskirt a couple of days ago and I didn't understand why until I looked and saw, a ball, Mr Moo, and a piece of raw hide under there.

My alarm starts going off at 7. I snooze it until 7:30.
Buddy " Come on now lets play. Please mom. Please. Here is a ball. Just throw it. I promise I will be good. Please oh please oh please."
Me "No I have to get in the shower."
Buddy "Just throw it once. Just once"
Me "Ok"

I throw the ball, hurry to get in the shower because I know he will be back and talk me into playing more. And sure enough here he comes. He nudges the shower door open with his nose and looks at me like "Hey I thought we were going to play."

I get ready and as I am getting ready I get any number of toys dropped at my feet. So I throw them, as they come to me. I get done getting ready. Go in my room to put my shoes on, and there is Buddy laying on the bed. I stand up to leave. And he rolls over on his back, with his legs in the air.
Me "It's that time Buddy"
Buddy "Please don't put me in the kennel. I can't be good. I know I can't, but aren't I just so cute. How can you do this to me. Please don't"
I rub his belly for a little bit. Pick him up, and walk to the kennel. By this point he is looking back over my shoulder saying "if I don't look at it maybe it doesn't exist and I won't have to go in there. "
We get to the kennel I put him in and say"Ok have a good day. I will see you after work." He always looks so sad at me as I close the door to the room.

I go to work. Come home, and oh my goodness. You would think I had been gone for a month. He is jumping up and down in the kennel. And barking. I open the kennel door and he is off like a shot. No kidding. He is up the stair and in the kitchen before I even get back out of the room where his kennel is kept. Then he runs back down the stairs.
"Come on mom I have to go potty. Come on"
Me : "Ok Buddy I only have to legs you have four. I am getting there."
He runs back up the stairs.
I start towards the stairs.
He comes down to check one more time.
I finally make it up the stairs. He runs back towards me.
Runs toward the couch.
Jumps on the couch, and up the back, so he can be at my level. I walk over and get kissed for the one side of my face to the other.
We finally make it to the back door, and he runs outside, and starts looking for his girlfriends. (He has one on either side of the fence)
And I am forgotten.

Buddy the Booze Hound

I got a new computer and it has this really cool feature where I can put my memory card right in the computer (this is a laptop, so it's not something I have ever seen before on a laptop), so I want to try it out. And a month ago my mom love her too pieces did a post about A girl and her dogWell since Buddy is a booze hound I thought I would put some pictures out there proving it.
Here he is drinking a beer. He's to drunk to drive so he gets a lift from a friend!!

And here he is passed out after drinking too much!!

There he is lady's and gentlemen (not sure there are any of you that actually read my blog) My dog Buddy!!

He's wondering when I am going to take him drinking again. He can be a bit of a mean drunk so I'm not sure. But I guess Carrin got him hooked so now I will have to feed his habit. Oh well he is cute I can't really turn him down when he gives me those big brown puppy dog eyes.

So Buddy for licking the tears off my face the last couple of days, for making me laugh every morning before I go to work, for being so incredible happy when I get home, and for being the one I sleep with every night.
This Bud's for You!!
